The Frantic Pacing of Toy Story 3: A Review

Toy Story 3, the latest installment in the beloved franchise, is a whirlwind of activity from start to finish. The frantic screenplay, penned by four writers - Michael Arndt, John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, and Lee Unkrich - has the toys thrown into one crisis after another. The film seems more focused on showcasing its 3-D effects than serving the needs of the story. While the characters are still likable and diverse, it's clear that they're not being used to their full potential.

It's hard to understand why Pixar felt the need to revisit Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of the gang after two excellent movies in the series.
